Cloud migration services for the applications your business runs on
We move legacy applications and data to AWS or Azure in planned phases, so you get the security, uptime and flexibility of the cloud without a risky big-bang switch.

Why cloud migrations go wrong
Moving to the cloud is rarely the hard part. Moving the right way is. Most failed migrations share the same causes.
- Lift and shift of a fragile app. The old problems move to a new, more expensive address.
- Hidden dependencies. A forgotten file share, scheduled job or hard-coded server name breaks on day one.
- Surprise bills. Servers sized for peak load run around the clock, and nobody owns the cost.
- Security bolted on later. Broad permissions and unencrypted data become an audit finding.
A migration plan built around each application
Not every application should move the same way. For each one, we recommend one of three paths.
Rehost
Move the application as it is to cloud servers.
When it fitsThe code is healthy and speed matters most.
Replatform
Move it with targeted changes, such as a managed database or containers.
When it fitsSmall changes unlock big savings or reliability gains.
Rebuild
Rewrite it for the cloud.
When it fitsThe application is too fragile or outdated to move as it is.
Then we migrate in phases
Discover
Inventory applications, data, integrations, scheduled jobs and dependencies.
Design the landing zone
Accounts, networking, identity and access, encryption, backup and monitoring, set up before anything moves.
Migrate in waves
Lower-risk applications first. Each wave is tested in its own environment.
Cut over with a fallback
A rollback plan for every wave, and parallel running where the stakes are high.
Optimize
Right-size servers, set budgets and alerts, and tag every resource so each cost has an owner.
Cloud platforms we've delivered
On Microsoft Azure and on AWS, for finance and for claims.
Critical finance data out of legacy silos and into one platform
A major Canadian investment fund had critical data trapped in legacy systems and siloed applications. We migrated the data and applications to Azure and built a finance data platform with Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI.
- About 20%
- of the typical delivery time
- 25%
- gain in operational efficiency
- Near real time
- visibility for the finance team
The workers' compensation claims platform we rebuilt in .NET runs on AWS, deployed with Docker across separate development, QA and production environments. Read the case study
- Development
- QA
- Production
Secure by design, not by audit
Security is part of the landing zone, so it's in place before the first application moves.
Least-privilege access, with separate accounts for each environment
Encryption for data at rest and in transit
Backups and recovery tested before cutover, not after
For health data, both AWS and Azure sign Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) for eligible services, and we sign BAAs with clients where required
Why teams choose us for cloud migration
- We modernize, not just move
- When lifting and shifting would move the problem, we'll tell you, and fix the application first.
- AWS and Azure
- We recommend the platform that suits your stack and your team, not the one we prefer.
- Cost is part of the plan
- You get budgets, alerts and a named owner for every cost before cutover.
- We stay after cutover
- Support, tuning and the next phase, from the same team.
Cloud migration FAQ
Straight answers to the questions we hear most.
AWS or Azure: which should we choose?
If you run mostly Microsoft software, such as .NET, SQL Server and Microsoft 365, Azure is often the simpler fit. AWS has the broadest range of services. Existing contracts, skills and credits matter too. We compare both for your case.
How long does a cloud migration take?
It depends on how many applications you have and how each one moves. Rehosting a single application can take weeks; rebuilding a core system takes months. You get a wave-by-wave timeline after discovery.
Will the cloud cost more than our servers?
It can if nobody manages it. We size servers to real usage, turn off what isn't needed and set budget alerts, so you see costs before the invoice arrives.
Will there be downtime?
We plan each cutover for a quiet window, keep a rollback ready and run old and new side by side where it matters.
Can you migrate our databases?
Yes, including moves between database engines, such as Firebird to Microsoft SQL Server, with the data checked before cutover.
Plan your migration before you pay for it
Tell us what you want to move. In a 30-minute call with our CEO or CTO, we'll talk through your applications, the right path for each and the risks to plan around.
