Employee Central to SAP ECC payroll integration
You moved HR to SuccessFactors Employee Central but kept payroll in SAP ECC. We keep the two in sync, so every hire, change and termination reaches payroll correctly and on time.
The problem
In a hybrid landscape, Employee Central is the source of truth and ECC runs payroll. When replication lags or maps a field wrong, payroll pays the wrong amount. HR then reconciles by hand, and employees lose confidence.
How we build it
- SAP's Business Integration Builder (BIB) maps Employee Central data to ECC infotypes, including 0000, 0001, 0002, 0008, 0014 and 0015
- The Compound Employee API extracts changes; SAP CPI or Boomi routes them to ECC
- Delta replication sends only what changed, and respects retroactive changes
- Configuration-driven mapping, so new rules don't mean new code
- Monitoring and error handling that HR can see and act on
What it changed for clients
- Under 1%payroll errors from data mismatches, down from 8%
- Same daynew-hire onboarding, down from 2 to 3 days
- Nonemanual HR imports, down from weekly
Employee Central to ECC Payroll FAQ
Is this SAP's standard approach?
Yes. BIB and the Compound Employee API are SAP's standard tools for this replication; our work is the mapping, rules, monitoring and error handling that make it reliable.
